HAPT2D

High Accuracy of Prediction of Type 2 Diabetes

About HAPT2D

HAPT2D is a prediction tool to identify patients at risk of developing diabetes.
It is designed for predicting the risk of T2D using various amounts of background information depending on data availability.
Scenario 1 includes the fewest variables without any laboratory tests (age, gender, marital status, BMI, physical activity, medical treatment of hypertension, history of hyperglycemia, family history, …).
Scenario 2 adds to scenario 1 the usual information available to a health professional clinician after a general visit and routine laboratory tests (pulse, blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglycerides, …).
Scenario 3 complements scenario 2 with results from an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test.

Disclaimer

Recommendations are presented for screening asymptomatic adults for Type 2 Diabetes.
The HAPT2D is not a diagnostic tool. It is designed for people without a current diagnosis of diabetes and is intended to highlight a person’s risk of developing Type 2 diabetes in the next 12 years.
Currently, HAPT2D has been designed on Spanish and Finnish population.
HAPT2D has not been tuned to account for underage or diabetic subjects. Any inference or information pertaining to such subject groups should be considered mostly unreliable.
The results are not medical advice. If you are at risk or concerned about diabetes, we advise visiting a healthcare professional for further information.
